Yes. We make custom seat and back cushions for reading corners, seating nooks, window seats, bay windows, built-in cupboards and individually built seating areas. Dimensions, shape, cushion thickness and cover can be chosen to match your project.

What cushion thickness do you recommend for a cosy reading corner?

For a comfortable seating and reading corner, we usually recommend a cushion thickness of 8 to 12 cm. 10 cm is a very good compromise between comfort and a modern look for many seating areas. Those who want a particularly soft and cosy seat can also choose 12 cm or more.

What foam firmness is suitable for a reading corner?

For the seating surface, we recommend a shape-stable foam that offers enough support while still being comfortable. For back cushions, a softer version can be chosen. Which foam quality suits best depends, among other things, on cushion thickness and the desired seating feel.

Can the seat and backrest be made with different softness?

Yes. We even recommend this for many seating and reading corners. The seat can be made firmer and more supportive, while the back cushions are made softer. Back cushions can also be finished with padding and jersey for an especially cosy character.

Do you make cushions for seating nooks and bay windows?

Yes. Especially for seating nooks, bay windows and individually built furniture, standard cushions are often unsuitable. We make cushions to match your dimensions and can also produce several coordinated elements.

Are angled or rounded cushions also possible for a reading corner?

Yes. In addition to classic rectangular cushions, we can make angled cuts, curves, angled corners, cutouts and other special shapes. For more complex shapes, we recommend a precise drawing or template.

Can my reading corner be fitted with an anti-slip base?

Yes. Seat cushions can be made with an anti-slip underside on request. This is especially practical on smooth wood, stone or coated seating surfaces and reduces the cushion from slipping.

What fabric is suitable for a seating and reading corner?

For frequently used reading corners, we recommend a durable, easy-care upholstery fabric. When choosing, abrasion resistance and intended use should be considered alongside colour and structure. Seat and back cushions can also be designed in different or combined colours if you like.

Can I order just a seat cushion without a back cushion?

Yes. You can order individual seat cushions or complete sets of seat and back cushions to measure. Just foam cuts or individually made covers are also possible.

Can you make a complete reading corner with several cushions?

Yes. We can make several cushions so that together they form a unified seating landscape. For example, a long seat, several back cushions and additional side cushions can be combined with one another.

How thick should a seat cushion be for a window seat?

For a padded window seat, 5 to 8 cm is often sufficient. If the window seat is used regularly and for extended periods as a reading or seating spot, we recommend 8 to 10 cm instead, if the existing seat height allows it.

Can I order just new covers or just custom foam from LP-Polster?

Yes. You don't necessarily have to order a complete cushion. We make both custom foam cuts and individual cushion covers. This means, for example, existing garden cushions can be renewed if only the foam or only the cover needs to be replaced.

Can zips be positioned individually?

Yes. The position of the zip can be taken into account for custom-made items. A sketch or a photo with the desired position is helpful for this.

Can cushions also be made from a template?

Yes. For complex special shapes, a precisely fitted template can be useful. On this basis, we can make the cushion according to the desired shape.

Can I receive fabric samples before ordering?
